About myself

I was born in Brussels in May 1983 (on a Friday the 13th :-)) ; 5 years later my brother was born: Matthias. I grew up in East-Flanders, particularly in the wonderful Flemish Ardennes, in Geraardsbergen. After high school I went to Brussels to study Business Administration (commercial sciences), because I was pretty ignorant of economics, business and tax, although it interested me a lot. And after studied six years of Latin and languages, it was time for studying something completely different. In 2006 I got my master degree; I could start right away as a tax consultant at Deloitte in Antwerp, which was also the reason why I moved to Antwerp. In 2007 I switched to politics and I started working for Vlaams Belang, first of all half-time at the Research and half-time at the group in the Flemish Parliament. After one year, I became full time academic research assistant at our group in the Flemish Parliament on the topics Economy and Education. Since 2009 I am president of the Vlaams Belang Youth (VBJ) in Antwerp, board member of Vlaams Belang Antwerp and national board member of VBJ.
